Navigating the complexities of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) can be overwhelming, especially for those living with mental health conditions. At Amity Mental Wellness, we understand the importance of having knowledgeable support to guide you through the NDIS journey. Our specialised support coordination services play a crucial role in helping participants maximise their NDIS plan and achieve their goals.
Understanding Support Coordination
### What is Support Coordination?
Support Coordination is a service designed to optimise the benefits participants receive from their NDIS plan. Our Support Coordinators work closely with participants to understand their goals, needs, and the resources available to them through the NDIS. This service involves assessing the participant's strengths, needs, and goals, as well as identifying the most suitable services and providers to achieve their objectives.
### Types of Support Coordination
At Amity Mental Wellness, we offer two levels of Support Coordination:
#### Level 2: Coordination of Supports
We focus on building your ability to act independently by connecting you with providers, helping you understand your plan, and supporting you in utilising your funded supports effectively.
#### Level 3: Specialist Support Coordination
This level is more intensive and is often Utilised by participants with complex situations. Our Specialist Support Coordinators are skilled in addressing the needs of individuals requiring a higher level of support due to mental health issues or other challenges.
